For infrequent travelers, taking advantage of the current hotel promotions is an easy way to rack up extra points at different hotel chains. We’ve compiled a list of the current hotel promotions.

Best Western

Get 1,000 Bonus Points On Your Next Stay

You must register for this promotion prior to the stay to get the additional 1,000 bonus points. The offer is only valid for Best Western Rewards members who have received the Sign-Up Rebate email campaign.

Earn 500 points when you opt-out of housekeeping

Members must alert the front desk at check-in. Members will earn 500 points per night, however, there is a 2-night minimum stay.

Choice Hotels

Earn more for weekday stays

Choice Privileges members can earn more when they book a hotel stay that includes one weeknight (Sunday through Thursday night). Members can earn:

One stay. Two stays. Free stay.

Stay two separate times between September 4, 2019 and November 8, 2019, and you can earn enough points for a free night. Members must register for this promotion. After every second qualifying stay, members will be awarded a minimum of 5,000 points and a maximum of 8,000 points depending on how many base points were earned from the two separate qualifying stays. With that said, most free nights will likely cost more than 8,000 points, but there’s no reason not to register!

Hilton

Power up your points

Hilton Hotel promotions typically will earn 2x or 3x on every stay.

Earn 2x points on every Hilton stay through the end of the year. Hilton Honors American Express cardholders will earn 3x the points on all stays. Members must register for this promotion.

Good for stays from September 9, 2019 to January 5, 2020

Hyatt

Earn 500 points by booking with the mobile app

You can earn 500 bonus Hyatt points for booking a stay (cash or award) using the new Hyatt app. It will not work on existing stays, so stays must be re-booked in order to take advantage. This is one of the easiest hotel promotions you can take advantage of right now.

Good for stays from August 1 to September 30, 2019

Earn up to Triple Points with Bonus Journeys

Earn bonus points beginning with your second qualifying stay. Members must register for this promotion by October 31.

Good for stays from September 15 to December 15, 2019

Double elite-night credits at Ziva and Zilara

Members must register, but they can earn double the elite-night credits at Hyatt Ziva and Zilara properties. Award stays count, as well, which makes this one of the better hotel promotions. Obviously, this is only useful if you are chasing status with Hyatt, but if you are, the offer is incredibly lucrative.

Hyatt has all-inclusives in Mexico (Cancun, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta), Jamaica (Rose Hall/Montego Bay) and the Dominican Republic (Cap Cana). We recently visited the Zilara in Montego Bay for our honeymoon, but have also been to the property in Puerto Vallarta twice.

Members must register by October 31.

Good for stays from August 1 to November 23, 2019

Earn 500 points for stays at new properties

Hyatt is awarding members 500 points for staying at some of its newer properties. The properties are in all the brands and are around the world, as well as stateside. Each hotel has a different offer period. There’s no need to register for this promotion.

Dates vary for specific properties.

Earn bonus points for staying at new hotel brands

Hyatt recently announced its partnership with Thompson Hotels, Joie de Vivre hotels, Alila hotels, and several Destination locations. Members can earn 2,000 bonus points for their first eligible stay at each brand (up to 8,000 bonus points). Stay at all four? Earn a bonus free night.

No need to register for this promotion.

Good through December 31, 2019.

IHG

Accelerate Promotion

The interesting thing about IHG is that most of their promotions are targeted to specific members, so not all promotions are created equal. While all members may be targeted for the promotion, the earning potential may be different.

Below is an example of what the IHG Accelerate Promotion might consist of.

The IHG Accelerate offer is one of many hotel promotions that can earn many valuable hotel points.

Stays must be completed between July 1, 2019, and October 31, 2019. Registration for this promotion is closed, but members should keep an eye out for the next one that comes up.

Make Every Stay Count

Make Every Stay Count is a version of the Accelerate offer and is valid for stays between September 1 and December 31, 2019. Members must register by October 18. Similar to the Accelerate promotion, in order to see the details of the promotion, members must log in to their account.

The promotion runs from September 1, 2019, to December 31, 2019. Registration for this promotion ends on October 18.

Double Points at EVEN Hotels

Double IHG points will be awarded on all stays starting with the second-night stay when paying qualifying rates. Members must register to stay. There are just 13 of these hotels worldwide, but if you find yourself in one, you’ll get double the points.

Earn 3,000 bonus points at InterContinental Hotels

Targeted members can earn 3,000 bonus points after they register and stay at an InterContinental Hotel from September 26 to November 30, 2019. Members can earn 15,000 total points, so a maximum of 5 stays. Award stays do not count for this promotion. Targeted members should’ve received an email about this offer.

The promotion runs from September 26, 2019, to November 30, 2019.

Marriott

Bonus points for a new Marriott account

New members must open up a new Marriott Bonvoy account before November 28, 2019. Once the member completes two paid stays by January 28, 2020, they will receive a free night certificate for hotels costing up to 25,000 points.

The promotion runs through January 28, 2020.

Wyndham

Get Double the rewards on up to five stays

Members earn double points on up to five stays at any Wyndham Rewards Hotel for 90 days after registering for this offer. This offer is only good for up to five stays.
