Most people use ride shares every now and then, so this an easy way to earn points. There’s nothing to lose in signing up. It’s nice to see Hilton announcing this promotion just after devaluing another popular summer promotion.
The Details
Lyft users must link accounts before earning points. The earning structure is below:
- Earn three Hilton Honors points per dollar spent on Lyft rides (Lyft, Lux, Lux Black, Lyft XL, Lux Black XL)
- Earn two Hilton Honors points per dollar on Lyft Shared Rides.
- Earning points is capped at the $10,000 mark per calendar year.
- Lyft rides in the United States and Canada are eligible.

Earn Delta SkyMiles with Lyft
A while back Delta announced a partnership with Lyft to allow SkyMiles members to earn miles when taking Lyft rides.
Both the Delta and the Hilton offers are stackable. This means that you can sign up for both offers and earn both SkyMiles and Hilton Honors points for every Lyft ride.
Final Thoughts
There’s literally no reason not to sign up to earn points for Lyft rides. If you only use it once or twice, it’s literally free points. Make sure you’re also signed for the similar Delta promotion.
Even if you aren’t going to get rich with Hilton points with this promotion, earning points can also help keep points from expiring.
Hilton Honors points expire after 12 months of inactivity. However, earning just a single point through a promotion like this will help keep your points from expiring.
