Delta 12Status is back for Washington residents.
Delta 12Status is back for Washington residents.

Delta members living in Washington state will be excited to learn that Delta 12Status is back for a fourth year. The promotion awards free miles based off the Seahawks passing yards but also carries several other perks.

The Details

Only those Delta members that live in Washington are eligible for this promotion. The promotion details are below:

  • One mile awarded for each Seahawks passing yard during all home and away games.
  • Priority Boarding on all Delta flights departing from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport through the end of the season.
  • NEW this year! A 12-percent discount on two Lyft rides (up to $5 off each ride) to or from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

This is the fourth year in a row that Delta has laid out this promotion. While I don’t fly Delta a whole lot because I currently prefer Alaska Airlines, I did just use miles that I acquired from previous 12Status promotions for my honeymoon to Jamaica.

I’ve earned a total of 10,142 miles since the start of the program.

  • 2018: 3,327 miles
  • 2017: 3,979 miles
  • 2016: 2,836 miles

Final Thoughts

If you’re a Washington resident, there’s literally no reason not to sign-up for 12Status. It takes about 2 minutes to sign-up – all you need is your Delta Skymiles number.

And, while you’re at it, make sure your Delta Skymiles and Lyft account are linked so you can earn extra miles as well.

Even if you don’t like football, you now have a reason to watch the Seahawks and hope quarterback Russell Wilson airs it out – free miles!
